Food and the traditions and cultures surrounding our foodways have shaped the lives of our ancestors and our own lives. Food has always brought people together and strengthened our community. If you are interested in the cultural significance of recipes and how they influence the culture, don’t miss this unique event! The Camp Bacon Film Festival celebrates southern food traditions and culture through film. A casual evening of bacon-studded snacks accompanied by a discussion of food traditions. We’ll supply the non-alcoholic beverages; beer, wine, and cocktails will be available for sale. $10 of the ticket price will be donated to Southern Foodways.
